What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy begins with the idea that one is able to find relief in the act of meeting and talking about what you think and feel. My focus is on helping you to speak as freely and authentically as possible so that you can get to the core of what has been troubling you. Psychotherapy is an individualized, dynamic approach that allows for a focus on you as a person. It is helpful as a short-term or long-term treatment. Generally we will meet, either virtually or in-person, once or twice a week as your schedule allows.

What is Psychoanalysis?

Psychoanalysis is a practice and body of knowledge that is focused on your subjectivity as a whole, the parts of you that you are consciously aware of and the parts of yourself that make themselves known even if you are not consciously aware of them. Psychoanalysis is a powerful method for understanding oneself, and is understood to be part of a long-term and in-depth process. Generally we would meet at least three times a week either virtually or in-person.
